December 8th- Pride

Students and staff have had a full week of learning!  Students are working on end of quarter reading and math assessments.  Fourth grade students have been digging deep into persuasive writing essays and working together in teams to help their pioneer families survive on the Oregon Trail.  Our staff has been learning as well this week taking time to meet with Mrs. Renee Slack as we reflect and refine on our Leader in Me journey.  Mrs. Slack is a former principal of a LIM school in Osage Beach and is our Franklin-Covey coach helping us on this journey.  Teachers reflected on our Student Leadership Notebook processes and the importance of modeling goal setting in front of our students to help them develop and refine this practice for themselves.
As we look ahead to the coming weeks, we hope our parents can join us for our PTO Meeting this coming Monday, December 12th at 6:00 in the WC Library.  We have a full agenda looking forward to the 2nd semester.  Our PTO Christmas parties are also coming up on Tuesday, December 20th at 2:45.  Mark your calendars for these events and thank you for your partnership with our school!
